Power Plant Governor Overhaul
In fact, the losses caused by equipment failures often exceed the costs of regular maintenance and repairs. Regular maintenance is essential as it helps prevent abnormal conditions, improve equipment efficiency, and save unnecessary downtime and repair time. If your equipment parts are custom-made or specialized, the waiting time can be quite frustrating.
A customer brought their Woodward UG-8D governor to our facility for repair. We found that the governor had no oil pressure during testing. Upon disassembly, we discovered that the check valve was damaged, and there were cracks in the guide rod, leading to instability in control. After replacement, the governor returned to normal operation.
